About

This workshop explores current frontiers in the numerical analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations. The program particularly emphasizes numerical methods for geometric PDE, applications to complex materials, and adaptive higher-order methods.

The goal is to foster interactions and spirited discussions between experts and aspirants at different career stages.

Travel

Arrival via Geneva Airport: the airport has a train station with a direct and frequent connection to Lausanne (Lausanne Gare), ca. 40 minutes

Arrival via Zurich Airport: from the airport you take the metro to Zurich main station (ca. 10 minutes) and from there to Lausanne (Lausanne Gare), (ca. 2:15 hours)

In Lausanne: from the main station you find the metro station across the street (Northern exit). You drive one stop with Metro M2 to exit at Lausanne Flon, go up to the ground level (stairs, escalators, elevators) and take the Metro M1 towards Renens (ca. 13 minutes).
